To take the practical driving test for driving with a trailer, you must have a valid driver’s license and be at least 18 years old. You do not need to take an additional theory test for driving with a trailer.

Every student is different. That’s why VDR Verkeersopleidingen offers various options for driving lessons with a trailer. To determine how many lessons you’ll likely need, we conduct a 1.5-hour introductory test. This gives you the chance to experience driving with a trailer, and the instructor can see how quickly you’re picking up the skills. Based on the introductory test, we’ll create a package for you. Do you already have experience driving with a trailer? Then you might be able to get your BE driving license in just one day!

A horse is precious and vulnerable cargo. Our instructors understand this better than anyone. That’s why, during your riding lesson, we’ll also address the unique circumstances of driving with a horse trailer, upon request. Do you have specific questions? Your instructor can give you specific tips and advice to transport your horse as safely as possible.
